Surplus for teachers

My friend Tom (brother of Shaun) has a post on how lousy teachers get paid.

You see, Tom would love to teach high school. However, financially, he knows that he can't afford it. Therefore, he will be a Mechanical Engineer.

He makes several good points as to what would happen if you paid teachers more.

Yet, with a $1 billion surplus, we couldn't seem to pull it off in the state of Utah.

With Tom, I call that shameful.
