BYU's Honor Code and Gays

BYU has made a slight change to it's honor code. Instead of it being against the honor code to be homosexual, it is against honor code to enage in homosexual acts.

Which is right in line with what the Church has been saying for the past few years.

However, Oldenburg over at The Third Avenue says that the new policy is still "singling out ... homosexuals."

Which is totally wrong.

Adultery/Fornication between a heterosexual couple is treated the same as Adultery/Fornication between a homosexual couple at BYU.

Yes, Jesus's ministry was based on social justice (poverty, social castes, the sick, the weak, etc.). As is the bulk of his Church on the Earth today (despite what the Utah Legislature would have you believe).

However, Jesus did talk about sin. To say that he didn't is just plain wrong.

Besides, if you don't like BYU's Honor Code, don't go down there. I currently have facial hair that does not meet the honor code. I would not even be allowed on campus. You don't see me making a big deal about it.
