The Republicans Make The Jokes Too Easy Sometimes

With schmucks like these, you don't have to be a good comedian to make a funny comment.

To wit:

(Saint Paul, Minn.) - Party officials and convention organizers today unveiled the official logo for the 2008 Republican National Convention. The circular design features the silhouette of a triumphant elephant, a Party symbol dating back to 1874, along with the names of the host cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul.

"Choosing our logo is another important milestone in planning the 2008 Republican National Convention," said convention President and Chief Executive Officer Maria Cino. "This design highlights the spirit of the Republican Party and it will adorn everything from the Xcel Energy Center to t-shirts and other souvenirs."

"By the time our convention is complete, this emblem - much like our Republican nominee and future President of the United States - will have been seen by millions around the world," RNC Co-Chairman and Convention Chairman Jo Ann Davidson said.

Are you ready to see the logo? Are you sure? I hope you're sitting down.

Drumroll, please......

There are oh so many jokes to be had...

*Appropriate blue-to-red ratio for 2008
*A wide stance in Minneapolis
*Stars in their eyes (or is he dead)
*Republicans screwing us in 2008.... (get your mind out of the gutter)
*Republicans turning their backs on us?
*It will be a circus.

I didn't see the screwing part until you mentioned it. We should add a little cartoon elephant below . . .

My first thought was escaped mad elephant tramples city!
