Letter of the Month

Time for Hatch to end act

I once paid to see an old comic in Las Vegas. He failed to make the audience laugh for the first 35 minutes of his act. Frustrated, he started defining what humor is — giving definitions of "funny" and "hilarious" out of the dictionary for all us dummies not buying his routine. But as with a lot of things in life — if you have to convince people you have certain traits, then you don't really have them. Character traits always do their own speaking.
Needless to say, I burst out laughing the other day as I was driving around town reading all of Orrin Hatch's tutorials and definitions on gigantic billboards discussing his virtues. It's time for Mr. Hatch's old act to get off the stage.

I just read David's letter to the desnews today and he is one of the small minority in Utah that actually knows what he is talking about.

I wish I knew his e-mail.
