Influenza Sucks

I started feeling it last Thursday. I thought it was nerves about my presentation that evening

On Friday, I thought it was a byproduct of the nasty Orange Chicken I had had on campus the night before.

On Saturday, I thought it was general uneasyness about things. Sunday was more of the same.

Then, on Monday, came the full throttle. I slept most of the night Sunday, most of the day Monday, and most of the night Monday Night. About the only thing that kept me from sleeping the rest of the time, or all day Tuesday, was the feeling like I had been hit by a bus then trampled by a herd of cats.

Yep, it was the flu. Not what we usually call the flu (which is sometimes called "stomach flu" or "24-hour flu"), but full-blown influenza.

In humans, common symptoms of influenza infection are fever, sore throat, muscle pains, severe headache, coughing, weakness and general discomfort.

I'm still under the weather, but I'm on the upswing.
