So, KSL's Doug WWright has been teasing that he will have a major announcement regarding the 2010 Governor's race this morning.
By the time he got to the announcement, he stated that every major, well-known name that has been on the rumored list of people possibly running had declared their intention except for one.
That one would be Kirk Jowers.
Apparently, Mayor Peter Corroon doesn't count in Dougville.
Anyway, Kirk Jowers is not running for Governor. Which I could have told you. It was a name thrown against a wall that didn't say no right away.

Doug Wright
So, Doug wright is out of the race for Jim Matheson's Congressional seat. The power of instant media in the form of blogs allowed Ethan to get the scoop.
Matheson's job security just got alot better.
You see, Jim hasn't given people a whole lot to vote for, other than he's not the crazy person the Republicans put up.
And all the Republicans are putting up are extreme right-wing wackos once again.
I'm not saying Doug was necessarily going to be the Republican nominee. He is the kind of moderate Republican that I used to be. Unfortunately, the people who go to conventions and vote in primaries tend to be more on the extreme end of things, and therefore choose the extreme candidate.
