Ever since I saw the proposed map for the four congressional districts, I've liked it, with some hesitation.
That hesitation has grown since then.
You see, the map is not final. The plan is to wait until Congress gives us the fourth seat before finalizing the map.
Which will give the Legislature time to pull the wool over our eyes once again.
Matheson's "safe" seat will gain Cottonwood Heights and Part of Sandy, while losing some of the Capitol Hill and Rose Park areas.
I'll say it because everybody else is dancing around it: The Utah Legislature is the most dishonest group in the state of Utah.
I'll say it again:
The Utah Legislature is the most dishonest group in the state of Utah.
This is the group that says they are for increasing education funding. But that increase in funding becomes a $62 million tax cut that becomes a $70 million tax cut, which ends up being a $78 million tax cut.
"No taxpayer money" for a soccer stadium becomes a $50 million payout.
No wonder James Sensenbrenner, R-Wisc, doesn't trust our legislature.
