A missed opportunity of Olympic Proportions

I kept waiting to hear about a large community celebration happening yeaterday somewhere in Salt Lake City. Maybe at Galavan Plaza. Or Washington Square. Or maybe at the Olympic Plaza on the south side of Rice-Eccles Stadium. Rocky Anderson, Gov Huntsman, Peter Corroon would be there. Heck, Mitt Romney would probably make a cameo appearance. The LDS Church would probably send a representative.

We would relive the magic of that time when Utah, and her people, shined brightly before the world. Happiness and good feelings would abound.

Unfortunately, yesterday's five-year anniversary came and went without notice. Nothing was said on the 10:00 news.
