Google, the company that has become a verb used to describe a small portion of what they do., is nine years old today.

In addition to the search feature, which I use a lot, I also love Google Maps, Goosle Earth, Google Calendar, Google Analytics, and let's not forget TouTube and Blogger.

What people seach for

It's always fun to see what people are searching for when they come accross my blog. And, it's fun to type in those results and see how close to the top I'm at in Google.

This week's fun:

*1000 posts (#3 in Google. Take that, Rob....)
*lights out utah (Again #3)
*usana bin laden attacks to the united states (sic)
*several references to Buttars on South Park and his apple song
*rob miller (nobody searching for Bob Aagrd, though....)

Search for Holly Mullen, Visit This Blog

So far, for the month of April, the #1 search term people have used on Google when finding my blog is holly mullen. #2 is Holly Mullen.

In March, #2 was holly mullen.

In February, #3 was holly mullen blog. #4 was holly mullen.

In January, #1 was holly mullen, #2 was Holly Mullen and #4 was holly mullen blog.

For the year 2007, it's not surprising that holly mullen is #1, and Holly Mullen is #2. for perspective, Mitt Romney is #3.

Go figure.

When you go the search, whether you capitalize or not, the #1 page is her former employer, the Salt Lake Tribune. #2 is yours truly. #3 is SLCSpin. #4 is Mullentown, Holly's blog.

Weird Google Searches

I'm always amazed at the unusual things that people search for that lead them to my blog. I get several hits from various versions of a South Park song (Loo Loo Loo, I've got some apples....). I also get several hits for nutcake, Mitt Romney, Holly Mullen, and Bob Aagard.
